Have an appointment that was requested right before the end of the month? Or having trouble confirming a specific date with a patient? No worries! You can defer any appointment in the ‘requested’ state to the following month. You’ll have this ability from the 1st to the 10th of each month, and can only defer the appointment once.
To defer the appointment, simply follow these steps:
- Click ‘Opencare Prime’ at the top right corner of the page, next to ‘My Account’ and ‘Log Out’
- Click on the ‘Appointments’ tab at the left
- Select the practice, month and provider
- In the ‘Billing Actions’ column (far right) you should see a button that says ‘Defer Billing’, click this and the appointment will be deferred to the next month.
